Metro Hotel Ipswich offers special package for The Prom Song

Metro Hotel Ipswich International is inviting Ipswich locals and visitors to the city to spend the night with them on the first weekend of the Ipswich Festival, when the Ipswich City Orchestra holds their inaugural Prom Song event.

As part of the Ipswich Festival, the Ipswich City Orchestra is presenting The Prom Song on May 21 - an event where the people of Ipswich and visitors to the city are invited to bring a cushion or book a seat as the city's orchestra brings the music of the ages to the Ipswich Civic Hall.

In the tradition of the great Proms of Albert Hall in London but with a true provincial Australian flavour, the orchestra will play everything from the music of Johann Strauss to Waltzing Matilda, with plenty of opportunities for the audience to clap and sing along to their favourite tunes.
