Ipswich's 175,000th resident recently moved to Springfield Lakes, helping the city reach another population milestone. The city reached 160,000 residents in July 2009, 170,000 in the third quarter of 2010, and population modelling and predictions show Ipswich's rapid growth won't abate any time soon.
Every week an additional 100 people are calling Ipswich home, and Ipswich's population is expected to reach 287,000 in the next 10 years.
