Rod Gregory is the funniest retired farmer working as a stand-up comedian in Australia today. Based in South Australia, Rod has performed well over 100 gigs all over Australia this year.
A fourth-generation Yorke Peninsula farmer, Rod put down his shears two years ago to pick up a microphone and hasn't stopped working since.
He has just returned from Sydney where he absolutely blitzed the Sydney Comedy Store, arguably Australia's premier comedy venue.
Rod - The Old Fella - loves to entertain and his shows are enjoyed by adults of all ages, from all walks of life.
"I always wanted to write short stories, so I went to Dave Flanagan's comedy school, thinking he could help me develop a character," says Rod.
And so The Old Fella was born, a bloke who regaled his audiences with hilarious tales about the joys of growing old.
Rod was so successful that he quickly became a regular at local comedy cellars. Eventually he ended up on Australia's Got Talent, where he reached the semi-finals.
Not bad for a bloke who left school the day he turned 14.
